Being situated on the Canadian National Railways mainline between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Saskatoon has provided significant advantage to the town of Ituna.

In addition, three provincial highways pass through the town ( #15, #52 and #310).  These highways along with a network of primary and secondary grid roads provide access to larger centers and to recreation areas and parks across the province.

The cities of Melville and Yorkton, both less than one hour away along with Regina, 90 km southwest, offer additional facilities.  As well, the scenic and historic town of Fort Qu'Appellle is a short 45 minute drive away.  Fort Qu'Appelle and its valley are home to several recreation areas and lakes providing camping, boating, fishing , and golfing in the summer and downhill skiing in the winter.  Approximately 80 minutes to the northeast, Good Spirit Provincial Park provides the same recreation
