Ituna & District Regional Park

The Ituna & District Regional Park exists on 80 acres of well-treed parkland 1/2 km. south of Ituna on a paved road. An asphalt walkway follows the road that leads out to the park ensuring safety for those who walk or ride bikes. The park is open from Victoria Day long weekend (May) to the Labour Day weekend (Sept.)
Park Services
The nearest shopping is in Ituna with grocery stores, gas stations, health centre, library, pharmacy, museum, movie Theatre, post office, churches, restaurants and RCMP detachment.
Camping Sites
There are 12 electrified and 5 non-electrified sites with picnic tables, barbecues and access to central trash cans and water taps. Firewood is available from a central bin at no charge. Modern washrooms with flush toilets and showers are available for campers in the swimming pool building. Clean outdoor toilets are also located by the concession booths and beer gardens.
Play area
A new playground area was recently erected next to the swimming pool.
Concession Booth
A large concession booth is situated near the ball diamonds, picnic area, and swimming pool and is operated during special park events. The building has a natural gas hook-up, electricity, stove, fridge, hot and cold water. The booth may be rented for gatherings, family reunions and other functions.
Winter Sports
Cross -country skiing, tobogganing, and snowshoeing can all be done at the park.
Golfing
The Ituna & District Regional Golf Course is located within the Ituna & District Regional Park. A picturesque 9-hole, par 34, sand green golf course with a modern clubhouse, overlooks the lake on the first and eighth holes. The clubhouse is equipped with modern washrooms, hot and cold water, stove, and sink. Barbecues, picnic tables and a fire pit are also available. The golf course facility may be rented for special occasions.
Green fee - $5.
Yearly membership fees are $140 per family, single adult $100, students $35
This fee will include a Regional Park sticker.
Several tournaments are held throughout the summer. In addition, each Sunday at 2 p.m. golfers are welcome to join in a progressive 9 hole tournament. The cost is $2.00 plus green fees.

Swimming
The Ituna & District Swimming Pool, located in the Ituna & District Regional Park, was built in 1994/95 largely by volunteer labour and community support. Since its opening in July of 1995, the continued efforts of community groups ensures the maintenance of the Pool. A Junior Olympic size, the Pool offers summer recreation for young and old, Red Cross swimming instructions and water activities such as 'Aqua-Size'. The Pool generally opens in the latter part of June and remains open until the end of August.

Baseball -The park has 3 ball diamonds with bleachers
Hiking/Biking A paved walking and biking trail leads from the Town of Ituna to the gates of the Regional Park. The trail winds past a small lake.

Ituna Millennium Park
The Ituna Millennium Park was constructed in the year 2000, largely by volunteer labour, as a joint project of the Town of Ituna, Rural Municipality of Bon Accord and the Rural Municipality of Tullymet. The park is situated on Main Street and features walkways, flowers, shrubs as well as park benches and tables where one can relax and have lunch or visit with friends.
Ituna Arena
The Ituna Arena is the hub of many wintertime activities including general skating, hockey games and tournaments, and figure skating. It is a place you might have a visit with your neighbor, cheer for your favorite team or have a hamburger or perogies.
Ituna Curling Rink
Four sheets of artificial ice attract curlers and watchers to the curling rink. Regular curling begins usually in late November or December and continues until some time in March. During this time a number of Bonspiels also take place.
Other Activities
A number of Clubs and Organizations within Ituna allow citizens to participate in the life of the community.
